The connection process
How to LIST your job opportunity
It is FREE to join the network and list job opportunities.
Before searching the network and making connections, businesses need to sign up through creating a Business Profile. This is a quick and easy 2-step process.
Once your Business Profile has been created, you can search the network and load your job opportunities.
To List a Job Opportunity:
JOIN THE NETWORK:
- Complete a Business Profile online and submit to create your Business Account.
ADD NEW JOB OPPORTUNITY:
- Once your Business Account has been created, press Add Job under your Manage Jobs section on your Account homepage and fill in the details. Once completed, press submit.
- PLEASE NOTE: When adding a job opportunity, please provide a good explanation on role expectations/responsibilities, required member skills/experience/attributes and your company working style, to ensure the best connection results.
GO LIVE:
- Once submitted the new job opportunity is live on the network. You can now select members with the relevant expertise, assign your new role opportunity and send them a Connection Request.
PROMOTE your job opportunity
Once businesses have listed their job opportunity onto the network, they are free to search and connect with network members.
The Savvy Network Team will also create a listing on the Savvy Jobs page and send out notification of the new job opportunity across the full network.
How to CONNECT
There are 2 ways connections can be made across the network:
- A business sends a Connection Request to a member, OR
- A member sends a Request Connection to a business
A business sends a Connection Request to a member
- When a business creates a new job opportunity on the network they can select members with the relevant expertise to send a connection request too.
- Members are notified of the connection request and either accept or decline it.
- If they accept, they are given full visibility of the job opportunity, and the business is given full visibility of the accepted members Network Profile. The business will then contact members directly to discuss next steps.
- If they decline, the business is advised.
- All connections can be viewed under each job opportunity you have created on your Business Account page.
A member sends a Request Connection to a business:
If members find a job opportunity that interests them and they have not already received a connection request from the business, they can initiate a connection themselves.
- Simply click on the “Request Connection” button at the bottom of the Job Overview one is interested in.
- The company advertising will be advised of the connection request and either accept or decline after reviewing an abbreviated version of the members Network Profile.
- If the connection request is accepted, members will be given full visibility of the job opportunity, and the business is given full visibility of the accepted members Network Profile. The business will then contact members directly to discuss next steps.
- If they decline, the member is advised.
- All connections can be reviewed and tracked within your Member Account.
How to TRACK connections
Connection Requests for each job opportunity are tracked via the Connection Panel.
To view the Connection Panel, simply select the relevant Job Opportunity under the Manage Jobs section on your Business Account homepage, and the Connection Panel for that job will be displayed, showing the status of all Connection Requests.
Connections are tracked under FOUR key groupings:
- ACCEPTED - a member has accepted a connection request sent from a business OR a business has accepted a connection request sent from a member.
- DECLINED - a member has declined a connection request sent from a business OR a business has declined a connection request sent from a member.
- PENDING: All connection requests a business has sent to members for a job opportunity and are waiting on a response (either accept or decline).
- REQUESTED: All connection requests members have sent a business for a job opportunity and are waiting on a response (either accept or decline).
If a connection request has been sent from a member for a job, businesses can view the members short-view profile via the Connection Panel, before responding.
For all accepted connections, businesses can access the members full-view profile via the Connection Panel to then download their CV and contact details.
